Christmas is Here!

Christmas Eve, my sister called to say a big storm was on it's way and to head on up as quickly as possible. So, we grabbed everything we remembered and started our celebrations early. I took Daniel and Chalisse to the park and let them sled until the wind and snow started, and Vince went to do last minute shopping. Then we all went to see National Treasure in the storm and then home in the freezing snow. We had our traditional soups a short talent show and then opened gifts and came home in a snow storm. Luckily, by the time we got close to our home, the storm had stopped and it was an easy drive home.

Luckily, because of the late night, Daniel slept in until 9:00 - but Vince had to be at work at 10:30, so he only got to see a little bit of the kids diving into their toys. Daniel got his Wii and Simon was happy with what ever was put in his face. He actually just wanted to sleep the day away - which for the most part he did.

Simon's birth mom and half siblings came to visit at 3:00 and Daniel said he had too many toys and my mother in law provided sandwiches for dinner, so it was a nice quiet day.

Simon looks very cute on his rocking horse. I'm glad Daniel got to go sledding. By the sound of how many storms are coming your way, he should get to go a number of times.
