Coming off the slide on to more Expo excitement
Daniel showing off his train set
Pack 730 Wolf Den
Daniel with his first pinewood derby racerTuesday, Daniel had his first Pinewood Derby. He was clueless about the car. He didn't want to shape it or paint it and then was upset when others whizzed passed him on the track. He'll know next year. We had 13 boys racing. Our Cub Master had each Den race against each other instead of all together, which was good, but then we let them have a free for all at the end of the night.
Saturday was the Scout Expo and our Den had 2 booths - on the theme of trains. One was a model train set where the boys could help build the set by making the tunnel and sprinkle on the grass. The other was Daniel's train set that the kids could have hands on and just play withouth worry of breaking anything. That seemed to be the most popular booth of the whole expo - because it was good for all ages. They had those rubber blow up climbing things that the older ones loved and rockets and bottle shooters and sling shots, but nothing that the parent had to tear their kids away from like our booth. That made me feel good about our choice.

Looks like a successful scout week. Daniel looks like he had fun. The kid on the end in the red shirt is cracking me up. Not to excited to be there.
