This week we were supposed to be going to Bear Lake for a week of vacation, but with Vince's mom in and out of surgeries and the care center, and Daniel in summer school, we felt it best to stay close to home.Monday, we spent the afternoon at Chuck E Cheese's. Daniel had a blast and Simon found some rides that he got into too. Tuesday, we went up to Lagoon and spent the afternoon-evening with my sister and her girls. Daniel has become quite frightened of things since his pool accident and decided most the rides were too scary. We finally got him to the kid section and couldn't get him to leave, even for dinner. Simon LOVED the boat ride. We could not get him off without a fit and so we would get back in line for another ride. He also liked the car ride, but Daniel could go on that one with him. Everyone left after 9:00, but Daniel didn't want to leave til everything was closed down. He wouldn't believe us when we told them the rides were done. He had to check them out himself. I just hope he's not that way with everything in life, or he will have some hard lessons to learn on his own instead of listening to people who know.
Today, we took my brother and we went to see Kung Foo Panda and had lunch at Red Robin. We sent Simon to the sitters - he enjoyed it more than sitting thru a movie. Tomorrow, we're going miniature golfing (after it cools off a bit) and Friday, another movie - hopefully Wall E, but we'll see.

I think we all need vacations from our lives at times. Cute pictures from Lagoon. I can see why Daniel didn't want to leave.
It sounds like you are having a great vacation from life. When your week of vacation is over you will probably be ready for another one. Have fun!!
