Pinewood Derby Time!
Tonight was Daniel's 2nd Pinewood Derby. Last year - he refused to shape the block of wood and did not have it weighed or anything. - Terrible experience. It came in dead last every heat. This year, we convinced him to have it look more like a car and after major coaxing - have it weighed. We had to add some weight - but this year he came in 3rd place. He actually came in 2nd in all his heats, so he couldn't figure out how he came in third - but we were happy.

I'm sad that our ward isn't doing the pinewood derby this year! I still haven't told J. It's his first year in cubs and he's been looking forward to it since N's first derby. Glad Daniel allowed work done on his car. Way to go!!
