The week in review

After a week off having fun at home - Since we couldn't go to Canada with Simon - it was back to work and summer school for Daniel. Simon is just like Daniel was as a baby -he sleeps thru the night and is prone to ear infections. We took him this afternoon for treatment of his 2nd infection in less than a month. At least I know what to look for. He is a real happy baby that loves to eat! He weighed in at 17 pounds today.
Daniel lost tooth #6 last week while at Seven Peaks - He gets really off kilter when he sees blood, so it was not a good experience. He thinks being toothless is terrible and can't wait till they all grow in. He has been attending summer school to keep up on his math and reading skills and seems to be enjoying it. Then he goes to the sitters for the rest of the day and hates to come home 'cause the sitter has 2 boys close to his age and they get along great.

Vince's dad has been going downhill lately and we finally have hospice coming in to help both mom and dad. Vince goes over at night to put his dad to bed and tries to beat his mom to the process - she doesn't want to hurt Vince's back. They also have Meals on Wheels coming in which is really helpful to get dad to eat.
I was released from my Primary calling of pianist - they feel Simon needs me during church, but the minute Sacrament meeting is over - someone tries to take him from me for the rest of the block. I felt depressed without a calling - so they gave me a new one - which will keep me busier than pianist, but during the week instead. I am now the new cub scout committee chair. I've done this before, so it's nothing new, just need to get back into the groove. Vince is still in the library, but he gets a week break every month, so I guess we just might be able to sit with each other in Sunday School.
