Our Staycation to Thanksgiving Point

Being Laborday Weekend and Vince's and my 17th Anniversary - we decided to spend the weekend having lots of fun - with out leaving the area. Friday - our Anniversary - we got Eric to watch the boys and went out to dinner, then Saturday - we had Aunt Connie watch the boys and we went to see the movie Julia & Julie, went to Costco to buy a new printer/copier/fax (just like my sister in law said - it's cheaper than replacing the ink)went to lunch and then home to pick up the boys to go swimming - only to find the pools closed for maintenance and so went to Toys R Us for Daniel to spend his money on a new metal detector.
Sunday - we took our monthly trip to my sister's house for dinner and chatting and Monday - I spent the morning getting zucchini ready for more relish and then headed off to Thanksgiving Point for the day. We started at the Dinosaur Museum. We could not get the boys to leave. Simon loved the whole experience - Daniel was more into the hands-on stuff. Then, we headed over to the Gardens for a little fun in the water and mazes until the Luau. Daniel hated the luau until the last dancer -the fire dancer. Then he was glad he had been waiting for 4 hours! Simon loved it - unti he finally fell asleep - just minutes before the finale. We got home and felt like the whole day was great and wouldn't change a thing.
